Unleashing the Potential of Nanocatalysts ~How Simple Ultrasonic Treatment Can Transform Water Purification~

  • Prof. Kenji KANEKO (Faculty of Engineering Department of Materials)

Core@multi-shell nanoparticles can be advanced catalytic materials that combine excellent performance and durability by stabilizing particle size through the core while enhancing the utilization efficiency in the shell. They are expected to play an important role in fields such as environmental purification and energy conversion for a sustainable society.
We have successfully synthesized core@multi–shell nanoparticles, and then their nanostructures were characterized, where new functionalities and application potential in the design of nanomaterials, which represent an important step toward the development of next‑generation high‑performance catalysts.
