Facilities

Common Facility

West Zone 2-4

These buildings house offices for engineering faculty members and students, lecture rooms, and administrative offices. Students assigned to research laboratories (4th-year undergraduate students and above) use their own desks in the offices as a base for their studies and campus life. West Zone 2–4 are internally connected; however, due to differences in ground elevation, the floor numbering varies between the buildings. As a result, the 8th floor of West Zone 2 corresponds to the same level as the 7th floors of West Zone 3 and 4.

Each building also features a variety of exhibits. West Zone 2 houses a Foucault pendulum and Japan’s largest quartz crystal, while West Zone 4 includes the Centennial Gallery, an exhibition room commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Engineering.
